starter motor

when i start it there seems like a clunck as it engages like a pop as it touches the cog any sugestions as it seems a little harsh, it starts well but is the engage seems quick or it doesnt release quick enough  ??? ??? ???

any ideas like to much power from bat or something as i dont think it would last long
also is a kick start easy to fit as a back up

Yeah, I just joined and I see we are missing a wizard.  Every forum needs a guy with the 700 page manual memorized, every mod categorized by cost and effectiveness, etc.  My last forum Kawasaki Versys had several. Speek up ye who have the answeres.!

Fitting the Z is relatively easy, yet kinda spendy$$, you can get the kits from most sites offering after market parts, I would recommend searching eBay for the kit it will be cheaper, the Z's already fitted with knock outs in the case so it's just a matter of installing the parts, you can also buy the parts individually, just make sure you get all the parts needed

As for the electric starter, it more than likely is not the battery, is probably the starter clutch, either loose or needing replaced
