Fuel leaks from header to tailpipe connection
« on: August 01, 2016, 12:59:43 PM »
I have installed a jd jet kit and swapped to a non vacuume fuel shut off on my 12 drz400s. Ran good after install but now a week later it won't start and fuel will leak from the tailpipe connection from the header. There doesn't seem to be anything leaking from the overflow so I don't think I flooded the crankcase (and I don't think this can happen with a non vacuume setup). I guess my question is if I have no spark would it push enough un burned fuel to leak there and should I be worried about fuel in oil. Can't really tell without draining it because the filler and dipstick is up on the frame by the handlebars ( don't ask me how the dipstick can be two feet higher than the case???).

Ok so I pulled the plug and checked for spark and got covered in gas. It came out of the plug hole like a geyser the first couple of cranks and big clouds for a long time after. Not sure why the cylander would flood like that without any leak out the overflow. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks
