Rear hub and sprocket
« on: June 03, 2017, 01:34:56 PM »
Hello,

I'd really appreciate some advice.

I have a Suzuki DRZ400E - UK registered (2001 model).

I need to replace the chain and sprockets and have hit a bit of a problem. The standard sprocket size doesn't seem to fit my rear hub as the spacing of the holes is very slightly out.

The measurements between the mounting holes on my rear hub are:

Two mounting holes directly next to each other 7.5mm.
Opposites (diametrically) are 15mm.

Is this the correct rear hub? Sadly the sprocket that does fit is not marked other than to state 45 tooth.

I am desperate to find the correct sprocket size so that I can get this brilliant bike MOT'd and back on the trail.

I have sought help via a forum and posted pictures of the current (unmarked but fitting) sprocket and hub: https://www.thumpertalk.com/forums/topic/1230732-drz400e-wheely-big-problem/

I'd really appreciate some advice so I can get back on the trail!

Thank you.
