2000 DRZ 400 Stumbles off idle
« on: October 09, 2010, 06:31:23 PM »
Overall the bike runs good.  However, at idle it really stumbles badly with any significant throttle given.  Any simple mod without taking the carb out and rejetting.  Help thanks

Clean the air filter, fuel mixture screw all the way in the 2 1/4 turns out, make sure spark arrestor isn't plugged, and you're getting good fuel flow into the carb, good luck

Check the accelerator diaphragm they delaminate and don't squirt gas in whn you 'punch" the throttle. Happened on mine and it was almost new used bike but sat for years. It is on the bottom NOT the side of the carb about $24.
