Wide ratio gears in the transmission
« on: May 18, 2017, 01:19:46 PM »
Hello I am new to the forum. I'm interested in the Suzuki DRZ400. There are so many thoughts on which bike is right (overall) and it appears it's probably the DRZ400. I see where a company named ACT makes wide ratio gears for the bike which at face value seems like a good upgrade. Has anyone done this to their bike ? What's your opinion on the gear change and how many miles have you ridden ? Thanks in advance.

I haven't been on here for ages, I have an ACT gear set in my bike. I ran with 14-41 gearing on motard wheels and the bike is great to ride. The shifts are smooth, the trans is no louder than stock and it sits at 5000rpm at highway speeds.

Happy New year 2022. Predicting what's up this coming 2022 is like rethinking what will I do back in 2020 honestly.  Interested in knowing new friends alike here.
